Hi everyone, my fiance and I are getting married and we'll have a regency theme to it. Yes we'll be dressed in regency atire and the place will be decked with regency decor. That's what brought me to this site.

    Cool....

I did a Regency wedding several years ago; I built the groom's and best man's suits, while another dressmaker did the bride's and maid of honor's dresses. We centered pretty much around 1820, so on the late side. It was beautiful, with an amazing outdoor site.

Make sure you find a good tailor; the garments (done correctly) aren't easy!

Best do that one in the summer, or she'll freeze!

Hope you two are very happy. And have fun!

Not true! The wedding could be in a period mansion. She could wear a beaded spencer. It's not like the weather was warm during the regency! :)

yeah, but the fashionable lady very much favored a thin guaze muslin dress

And some have been rumored to wet their legs to look yet more like a greek statua!

oh, to die of pneumonia for fashion . . .

          but, yeah mansion sounds better!
